Senior Business Development Manager – EdTech

I’m working exclusively with a well-established and growing education organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to help drive continued growth across the UK education sector.

This is a senior, hands-on sales role focused on developing new partnerships with Local Authorities, Multi-Academy Trusts, schools and other education settings.

The organisation provides high-quality education solutions that support children and young people who require more flexible or alternative approaches to learning. It is a genuinely purpose-led environment where commercial growth directly supports better educational outcomes.

Building relationships with senior stakeholders including LA commissioners, Trust leaders, Headteachers and other education decision-makers
Creating and managing a strong pipeline of new opportunities

Identifying larger tender, framework and contract opportunities
Supporting and contributing to high-quality tender and bid submissions
Using market intelligence, data and competitor insight to identify new opportunities

Working closely with marketing and wider commercial teams to develop new approaches to generating business

Requirements

What we’re looking for

Good commercial awareness and the ability to use data to inform your approach
Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and forecasting
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team

Experience with education tenders, frameworks or bid writing would be particularly useful.

Package
£42-52k base salary
uncapped commission
Permanent position
35-hour working week
30 days’ annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
Opportunity to join a growing, purpose-led education organisation

This would suit an experienced education or EdTech salesperson who enjoys opening new relationships, developing larger strategic opportunities and selling solutions that have a genuine impact on children and young people.
