Sales Director, EMEA (EdTech)

An established and fast-growing international technology business in the education sector is seeking a Sales Director, EMEA to lead regional growth and build a high-performing commercial function across the UK and wider European markets. The organisation delivers mission-critical solutions that help create safer, more secure, and compliant education environments, working closely with schools and education stakeholders.

This is a senior, high-impact leadership role with real influence across strategy, revenue, and market expansion. It will suit someone who enjoys building as much as selling, and who can operate confidently at both board level and in complex customer environments.

Job description

The opportunity

You will take ownership of the EMEA sales approach, driving sustainable revenue growth while laying the foundations for a scalable regional sales structure. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in high-value, consultative deals across education and public sector markets.

You will be joining at an exciting stage of international growth, with the backing to shape go-to-market strategy, build a strong regional team, and establish long-term customer and partner relationships.

What you will be responsible for

You will define and deliver the EMEA sales strategy in line with global revenue objectives, driving both new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts. A key focus will be building and maintaining a strong, predictable pipeline across target markets and leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with education organisations and public sector bodies.

As the region grows, you will recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team. This includes coaching managers and individual contributors, embedding clear performance metrics, and establishing strong forecasting discipline and sales processes.

You will develop deep knowledge of regional education markets, procurement routes, and regulatory environments, building relationships with senior decision-makers, partners, and influencers across EMEA. You will also represent the business at industry events, conferences, and strategic customer meetings.

Close collaboration with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Compliance teams is central to the role. You will provide market insight to inform product direction, positioning, and pricing, and help ensure a smooth transition from sale to implementation and long-term customer success.

Requirements

What they are looking for

You will bring proven experience in a senior sales leadership role at Director level or similar within SaaS or technology. A strong background selling into education, public sector, or other regulated environments is important, along with a track record of delivering against revenue targets in complex, consultative sales cycles.

Experience building and scaling sales teams across EMEA is key. You should be confident using CRM systems such as Salesforce for pipeline management and forecasting, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be UK based and able to travel across EMEA as needed.

Experience in edtech, compliance, data protection, or trust and safety solutions would be advantageous, as would familiarity with UK and European education systems and experience in a fast-growing, international scale-up environment.

Why this role stands out

This is an opportunity to build and lead the EMEA sales function for a purpose-driven technology business. The organisation has a meaningful mission centred on supporting safer, more responsible education environments, and this role offers high visibility and influence across the company.

Compensation

A competitive executive-level package is on offer, aligned to experience, scope of role, and regional responsibility. Full details will be shared with suitable candidates during the process.
