Head of Sales & Partnerships

We are seeking a Head of Sales & Partnerships to join a growing organisation in the education sector delivering cutting-edge resources that empower educators and students alike.

Job description

My client is a forward-thinking and dynamic education focussed company, working with over 5,000 UK schools.

Founded by former teachers, in 7 years, they have created a hugely popular brand, and one of the go-to resources for primary schools.

You will be joining at an exciting time where they are growing by around 800-1,000 new schools per year. You will be the first senior sales hire for the company, so will need to work well independently and be able to work closely with the founders and the rest of the team.

Working alongside a small team of dedicated staff, either from the head office or remotely, you will be willing to travel and feel confident in presenting and sharing the popular resource.

You will be passionate about the products you are selling to the schools market, recognising the positive impact they make on the lives of teachers and young people. You will help develop and execute strategic sales plans based on company goals to promote sales growth, often working independently. You will create and maintain positive relationships both internally within our team and with external partners.

With a generous remuneration package of £60,000 to £70,000 plus a performance-driven bonus of circa £25,000, this role is designed for a visionary sales professional seeking to make a significant impact in the educational sector.

Responsibilities include driving sales growth, developing innovative partnership strategies, and leading a dedicated team to exceed targets. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are paramount, alongside a flair for identifying and capitalising on new business avenues.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate a strong leadership background, with experience in managing and inspiring teams to achieve outstanding results. An analytical mindset, coupled with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment, will be key to thriving in this position.

The role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales and partnership development.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years’ experience in a senior sales role, preferably within the education or EdTech industries. A deep understanding of the UK educational landscape is essential, as is the ability to forge and nurture long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

Experience of the International Schools market would be a bonus.

In return, the selected individual will join an agile and supportive company culture that values creativity and initiative. The role offers substantial scope for professional development, with the chance to leave an indelible mark on the educational resource landscape.
