The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll lead and grow the commercial function — spanning new business, expansion, and sales development. You’ll build scalable processes, sharpen go-to-market strategy, and ensure disciplined forecasting and predictable results.
You’ll also play a key role in shaping the company’s next growth phase, helping to take a proven UK SaaS success story into new markets globally.
What You’ll Do:
– Lead and coach Account Executives and SDRs to deliver consistent new business and expansion results.
– Build repeatable plays around Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) pilots and Local Authority opportunities.
– Drive predictable ARR growth through rigorous pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
– Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, content, and events aligned to your target segments.
– Develop partner routes to market across safeguarding, first aid, and MIS ecosystems.
– Plan team scale-up – from headcount planning and hiring to coaching and performance management.
– Contribute to strategy and market development, including new territories and international growth.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
– Proven track record leading B2B SaaS sales into education or public sector markets.
– Experience selling to Multi-Academy Trusts, Local Authorities, or similar multi-site buyers.
– Evidence of building and scaling teams, improving conversion through process and coaching.
– Commercial fluency in forecasting, CRM discipline, and data-driven sales management.
– Comfortable with partner co-selling, procurement, and compliance (GDPR, DPIA, ISO, etc.).
– Bonus points for: experience with MIS, safeguarding, analytics, or AI-enabled SaaS in the education sector.
