Head of Marketing and Communications (12 Month FTC)

Job description

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be the strategic force behind all marketing and communications efforts. You will be responsible for developing and executing multi-channel campaigns to raise brand awareness and generate new business leads. You will also manage a small team, mentor them, and ensure all marketing initiatives are aligned with business goals. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to drive projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

– Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the annual marketing plan, including multi-channel campaigns to raise brand awareness and generate leads.
– Team Management: Manage and mentor a small marketing and communications team, fostering their professional growth.
– Content & Events: Lead the creation of engaging content, including white papers and thought leadership, and take charge of major conferences and events.
– Data-Driven Decisions: Use marketing and sales data to inform future strategies and optimize the prospect journey.
– Brand Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of quality, content, and messaging across all marketing channels.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is an energetic, action-oriented leader with a strong background in B2B marketing, ideally within the K-12 or higher education sector. We’re seeking someone with:

– Extensive experience with marketing CRMs, particularly Salesforce and Pardot.
– A proven track record of developing and mentoring team members.
– Strong project and event management skills for both online and in-person events.
– Expertise in inbound marketing, SEO, and using analytics tools to inform strategy.
– Experience in a lean marketing environment where you have used creative, in-house skills to deliver cost-effective campaigns.
