Demand Generation Manager | EdTech

I’m working with a well-established and fast-growing EdTech company working with thousands of UK Schools and MATs as they look to appoint their first dedicated Demand Generation Manager.

The business provides SaaS technology to the UK education sector and is entering an exciting period of growth. They’re now looking for an experienced, hands-on demand generation marketer to take ownership of the acquisition channels that will help drive the next stage of that growth.

This is a newly created role with genuine scope to make an impact. Rather than stepping into an established demand generation function, you’ll have the opportunity to help build one from the ground up.

You’ll take ownership of SEO, paid acquisition, Google Ads, conversion optimisation, email performance, attribution and the development of new acquisition channels, with a clear focus on generating qualified sales pipeline.

The ideal candidate will already have experience within EdTech, combined with strong hands-on demand generation and performance marketing experience.

Job description

The role:

You’ll take ownership of the channels responsible for generating qualified pipeline for the sales team, including:

– SEO and organic acquisition
– Google Ads and paid search
– Paid social where appropriate
– Email marketing performance
– Conversion rate optimisation
– Website performance Event ROI
– Attribution and marketing reporting
– Testing and developing new acquisition channels

A major focus will be developing organic search into a meaningful and sustainable source of growth, covering content strategy, technical SEO and category search rankings.

You’ll also work closely with the wider marketing team on the future website rebuild, ensuring the site operates as an effective acquisition and conversion channel.

Requirements

What they’re looking for:

We’re particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:

– Previous demand generation or performance marketing experience within EdTech
– Strong hands-on SEO experience across both content and technical SEO
– Experience managing Google Ads and paid acquisition campaigns
– A good understanding of conversion optimisation and acquisition funnels
– Experience using data and attribution to understand which channels are creating genuine pipeline
– The ability to analyse campaign performance and make commercial decisions around marketing investment
– Experience working with HubSpot or similar marketing automation/CRM platforms
– A genuinely hands-on approach

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to purely manage agencies or set strategy from a distance. You’ll be comfortable getting into the detail, launching campaigns, analysing performance, optimising landing pages and testing new ideas yourself.

Why join?

My client is at an exciting stage of its growth. This is the company’s first dedicated demand generation appointment, giving you considerable ownership over how the function develops.

You’ll join a small, engaged marketing team and have the opportunity to directly influence the company’s growth strategy over the next few years.

Package & benefits:

– £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience
– Fully remote working anywhere in the UK
– Regular marketing team meetups and company events
– Pension
– Holiday allowance
– Private healthcare
– Learning and development budget
– Apple Mac
– Full-time permanent position

If you’re currently working within EdTech marketing and enjoy the combination of SEO, paid acquisition, analytics and building pipeline, I’d be very interested in speaking with you.
