Business Development Manager – EdTech – Secondary

A leading provider of digital educational resources, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and evolution of their Secondary (Y7 to GCSE) Maths and Science EdTech products. Job description

About the Role:

This unique role blends sales, market intelligence gathering, user-requirements analysis, and user support. You will be responsible for:

– Proactively engaging with secondary schools to understand their needs and challenges.
– Promoting and selling digital education resources at both school and potentially MAT level.
– Gathering market intelligence and user feedback to inform product development.
– Providing user support and guidance.
– Building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The key priority is generating sales, but understanding why a sale isn’t made is equally crucial. You will play a vital role in shaping future product development by feeding back valuable insights from the market.

You will receive regular liaison and support from the Secondary Subject & Curriculum team, Marketing team, Head of Sales, and Product Development team.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate:

– Several years of teaching experience.
– At least 1-2 years of commercial EdTech sales experience (preferred, but educators looking to transition are encouraged to apply).
– A proactive, self-motivated, and organised approach.
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
– A passion for education and a desire to make a difference.

On Offer:

– Competitive salary in the region of £45,000 – £50,000 + uncapped commission

Location:

Flexible but ideally based in the North, with at least one day per week in the office. The territory is UK-wide, initially focused heavily in the Northwest / M62 corridor.
