Business Development Manager – EdTech SaaS

UK Schools & MATs | Remote | £50–65k base + Uncapped Commission

Are you a consultative SaaS salesperson who enjoys meaningful conversations with schools and trusts, rather than high-volume transactional selling?

We’re working with a fast-growing UK education technology company whose platform supports schools in managing health, safety, compliance, and operational accountability. Trusted by thousands of schools nationwide, their solution is becoming a standard across Multi-Academy Trusts looking to centralise processes and improve oversight.

As part of continued UK growth, they’re hiring a Business Development Manager to drive new revenue across schools, MATs and Local Authorities.

Job description

The Role

This is a full-cycle B2B SaaS role with a strong consultative and mission-led angle. You’ll work closely with an SDR and alongside an established sales team, taking ownership of opportunities from discovery through to close.

Key focus areas include:

New Business Sales

Owning and closing qualified opportunities across schools, MATs and Local Authorities.

Delivering tailored demos and value-led conversations with Heads, School Business Managers, safeguarding leads, and trust executives.

Managing procurement cycles and guiding deals through structured, multi-stakeholder processes.

Strategic MAT Growth

Targeting MATs with 10+ schools as part of the company’s growth strategy.

Expanding single-school wins into trust-wide adoption.

Supporting commercial proposals and larger trust-level opportunities.

Pipeline & Team Collaboration

Maintaining strong CRM discipline, forecasting, and pipeline hygiene.

Working closely with SDR and Marketing to ensure strong lead flow and conversion.

Acting as a knowledgeable voice from the field, feeding back insight on school and trust needs.

What They’re Looking For

Proven track record in B2B SaaS sales, ideally into education or public-sector–style buyers.

Experience managing full sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.

Confidence presenting to senior school and trust leaders.

Strong pipeline management and CRM habits.

Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote-first environment.

Nice to have:

Experience selling into MATs or Local Authorities.

Exposure to safeguarding, compliance, or health & safety–related solutions.

📈 Why This Role Stands Out
