Job description
You will be a key player in driving revenue growth by acquiring new primary school and Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) clients. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, understand their unique needs, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our client’s cutting-edge platform. This is a remote role with travel across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
– Identify and qualify potential leads within primary schools and MATs.
– Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
– Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to key decision-makers.
– Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure.
– Utilise CRM systems to track and manage leads and opportunities.
– Leverage existing contacts within the primary education sector (highly desirable).
Relationship Management:
– Build and maintain strong relationships with headteachers, MAT leaders, and other key stakeholders.
– Tailor solutions to meet the specific needs and challenges of primary schools and MATs.
– Provide exceptional customer service and support.
– Act as a trusted advisor and cultivate long-term partnerships.
Market Analysis & Strategy:
– Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
– Provide feedback to the product team on market needs and customer requirements.
– Contribute to the development of marketing and sales strategies.
– Attend relevant education conferences and events.
– Reporting & Administration:
– Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and forecasts.
– Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
– Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably within the education sector or EdTech.
– Strong understanding of the primary education landscape and the challenges faced by schools and MATs.
– Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
– Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
– Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
– Strong organisational and time management skills.
– Proficiency in utilising CRM systems.
– Passion for improving educational outcomes through technology.
– Background in EdTech is highly desirable.
– Ideally experience in Primary school teaching.
– Strong understanding of the full sales cycle.
– Own car/access to a car and ability to travel.
Package:
– £45,000 – £55,000 per annum + uncapped commission.
