Job description

In this pivotal remote-based role (with regional travel), you will be instrumental in identifying and securing new business opportunities across the UK. You will focus on building strategic partnerships with Local Authorities, Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), Schools, and Alternative Provision (AP) centres, expanding the reach of their innovative service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

– Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the UK education sector, with a strong focus on Local Authorities, MATs, Schools, and AP centres.
– Achieve and exceed sales targets in line with company objectives, providing accurate sales forecasts and identifying growth potential.
– Develop and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in education and local government.
– Contribute to the bid process for Local Authority framework tenders and direct awards, working collaboratively with internal teams.
– Provide valuable market insights and feedback to the Marketing department to inform strategic campaigns.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

– Possesses a demonstrable and successful track record in business development or sales within a service-based or regulated environment.
– Ideally has experience working directly with Local Authorities, MATs, Schools, or within sectors such as education, healthcare, or social care.
– Has a proven ability to consistently deliver against sales targets and drive significant revenue growth.
– Is experienced in crafting compelling proposals and managing bid processes.
– Experience working across multiple brands or service lines would be advantageous.
– Demonstrates a strong understanding of the public and private education sector and a passion for new business acquisition.
– Exhibits excellent commercial acumen and a strategic approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities.
– Is a highly effective communicator with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels within education and local government.
– Possesses strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and customer needs, translating insights into actionable strategies.
– Is proficient in managing sales pipelines within CRM systems and accurately forecasting future performance.
– Is a self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
