The Opportunity
We are working with one of the UK’s leading education technology businesses to recruit an experienced sales professional to join a highly successful and growing education sales team.
This is a field-based role covering the North of England, combining new business development with the growth and development of an existing portfolio of education customers.
The territory includes a significant number of schools, academies and multi-academy trusts, offering an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to develop new relationships, grow existing accounts and build a successful territory.
You will join an established EdTech business with a significant presence across the UK education market, an extensive customer base and a broad portfolio of technology solutions used by schools and trusts.

The Role
You will take ownership of a defined territory and portfolio of education customers across the North of England.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and growing a portfolio of schools, academies and multi-academy trusts
Developing new business opportunities across the territory
Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional technology solutions
Building strategic, long-term relationships and becoming a trusted advisor to customers
Engaging with Headteachers, School Business Managers, MAT leaders and executive-level decision-makers
Developing and executing strategic account plans to maximise revenue growth
Managing complex sales opportunities and multiple stakeholders
Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and providing reliable monthly and quarterly forecasts
Working closely with internal teams to ensure an excellent customer experience
Consistently achieving revenue and growth targets
Requirements
About You
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and commercially driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships and developing a territory.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience in Account Management, Business Development or a similar B2B sales role
Experience selling technology, software or services into schools, academies or multi-academy trusts
A strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Experience growing existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop revenue opportunities
Excellent territory, pipeline and time management skills
Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales forecasts
A consultative and relationship-led approach to sales
The ability and willingness to travel regularly across the territory
Candidates with strong B2B SaaS or technology sales experience and a demonstrable understanding of the UK education market will also be considered.
